VP Product & Engineering

Regeljelease.nl is evolving from a successful digital leasing business into a broader automotive platform, expanding into financing, insurance, and new service models under the NextGen Automotive group.

This transition introduces a different level of complexity: multiple entities, interconnected products, and increasing strategic dependencies between commercial, operational, and technical decisions.

We are looking for a VP Product & Engineering who plays a central role in both shaping and delivering this next phase.

The Role

You are part of the leadership team and actively contribute to the discussions where the overall company strategy is defined.

From that position, you translate strategic direction into a coherent product and technology roadmap, and ensure it is executed.

This role requires both perspective and ownership: setting direction, making trade-offs, and staying close enough to execution to ensure delivery.

You will:

• Contribute to company-level strategy, bringing a product and technology perspective into key decisions

• Translate strategic priorities into a clear, executable roadmap across multiple entities

• Align commercial, operational, and technical teams around shared objectives

• Make explicit trade-offs in scope, sequencing, and resource allocation

• Build and lead a product and engineering organisation that delivers reliably

• Ensure that what is decided at leadership level is actually realised in execution

What We’re Looking For

• Experience leading product and engineering in a scaling business with real commercial and operational complexity

• Ability to operate as a peer to founders and leadership, contributing to strategic direction, not just execution

• Strong judgement in making trade-offs where priorities, resources, and timelines compete

• Track record of building teams that consistently deliver in environments where performance matters

• Comfortable challenging decisions and assumptions at leadership level

• You understand how product and technology decisions shape the business, and take responsibility for their impact.
